Join us for the Trifecta Turkey Challenge! Three epic climbs: Black and Gist Road, Montevina, and Soda Springs Road. 6400 feet of climbing in 33 miles! It's insane! But there is one saving grace -- you don't have to do all three climbs. If you are not feeling the Turkey mojo, you can cut one or two of the climbs because all of the climbs are out and back from the main road around the reservoir.

https://ridewithgps.com/routes/45032219. (Thanks Misha for your help in putting together this route).

The start place is Lexington Elementary, 23800 Summit Rd, Los Gatos, CA 95033. Bring lots of layers for warmth, food, and water.

Three Climbs:

Black Road + Gist Road: 3.14 miles 1,587.93 feet elevation Average grade 9.6% Steepest quarter mile 12.3%

Montevina 3.5 miles. 1,581.36 feet of elevation Avg. grade 8.7% Steepest quarter mile 12.1%

Soda Springs. 5.32 miles 2355 feet elevation Average grade 8.4% Steepest quarter mile at 9.5% (Ride until deadend)

Extra note from Misha:

There are portable toilets at Miller Point parking east of the reservoir and the parking lot north of the reservoir. The only restroom that I know of on the side Black and Montevina climbs is a detour one mile up Bear Creek road. You could add it to the route by descending Skyline + Bear Creek instead of Gist: https://ridewithgps.com/routes/45032316.

Water and food aren't a problem as you will pass by the starting point.

Hope to see you there!
