Leader: Jessica Jensen     (510) 508-6389    text
Meet at 9:00 am
Pre-registration

Ready for an adventure? This ride contains not one, but two epic climbs. Cavedale is the first climb and is about five miles long, gaining about 2,000 feet; some pitches are 15% grade. Luckily, there are some flat spots that provide some relief. Mount Veeder climbs about 800 feet over 3 miles. Then there is a descent and some more climbing.

The other word of warning that qualifies this route as a true adventure is that neither Jessica nor I have ever done this ride, and we are not familiar with the area. Please bring lots of snacks, two bottles of water, patience, and an open mind. Lunch will be at Browns Valley Market in Napa.

This ride is featured on the Santa Rosa Cycling Club page as one of their ten greatest rides. They have a lengthy write-up of the ride: Description of the Mt. Veeder - Cavedale Ride

Plus they have a Mt. Veeder and Cavedale ridewithgps route

With all this information, what could go wrong?

Start will be at a parking lot behind the town plaza and the adobe army barracks. Here is the Google Map Link

Bring Jessica's and my cell phone number so that we can coordinate if the start place is not apparently clear.

Meet at 9:00 a.m. Roll at 9:15 a.m.

Miles: 45.6

Total Feet Climbing: 3,857

Epic Climb Challenge: Cavedeale -- 1,973 feet

Mount Veeder: 1,365

Hope you can join us for this epic ride!

Such grant is not needed for presentations or writings intended for one-time use, such as meeting presentations or items sent to the newsletter.
