Start with Ballard Canyon, cross through Los Olivos onto Figueroa Mountain Road. We will pass miles and miles of the Chamberlain Ranch. As things get more remote we pass the Neverland Ranch, which you cannot see, but there may be groups of worshipers at the gate. Michael is not home. For our taste of the big Fig, we will cross the bridge and the cattle grate and ride to the top of the first switchback at around 17%, for those that might like to try a little more, it eases of maybe a percentage point and stays there for quite a while. We return to Los Olivos, have a lovely lunch at Panino and return to Solvang on flatter roads. Don't miss the miniature horses! |
